We are a nongovernment organization based in island of Mindanao in Philippines. We extend help to geographically isolated and disadvantaged communities especially conflict-affected areas through providing quick impact projects related to healthcare, education, livelihood, culture, and environment. Recently, we discovered that one of our adopted communities have a child with evident hydrocephalus and experienced febrile seizures many times. Hydrocephalus or Congenital Hydrocephalus often referred to as “water in the brain”, is in fact an excessive accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid. The most common treatment for Hydrocephalus is placement of a shunt in the brain. She is Baby Jessica D. Sanny, she was born on August 19, 2019 in far flung/remote island of Balut, in Sarangani, Davao Occidental. Her family, especially her parents exerted all their efforts and resources to seek support for the treatment of Baby Jessica. We have also extended assistance on several medical check-ups with different specialists around the region and requested aid from government health care treatment and medical assistance, but to no avail. Our organization is small, most of our peacebuilding projects in the communities of Mindanao are self-funded. The treatment cost is hefty. Therefore, we organize this fundraising, in hopes that we can give more help for Baby Jessica, all for her treatment and the goal is for her to undergo surgery as soon as possible before it comes to worse. This pain and suffering is accompanied with immense physical and emotional trauma, high risks for infections and heavy financial burdens at such medical procedures. Please show some love, support, and say a prayer for Baby Jessica and her family. Please donate if you can. Together, let's raise awareness about the plight of indigent children with hydrocephalus and provide financial assistance for Baby Jessica's subsequent surgery to give her an opportunity to grow and develop as a normal human being. You are not only alleviating the sufferings of Baby Jessica but the whole family as well. Thank you very much for your time reading Baby Jessica’s story. If you can share this FundraiserMe, that would be great and continue to pray for Baby Jessica’s treatment for her to start healing. She reminds us of what true hope and love is. Again, please donate if you can.
