Dear All, After spending some years in the healthcare sector in Libya, with a group of surgeons and professors we decided to setup a reassessment project for a urology department. The team is very brilliant, but all their equipments are old, nearly 15 years of age. They are not able to perform any surgeries according to the current standards of our countries.
Apart the equipment, the project contains also a training program, some of the surgeons will have to travel in Europe for some hands-on sessions and shall help them and the Libyans who are already suffering of War, Bombs and all the loss due to these conflicts. and they need a urology department one of the most important needs for this country amongst alot of other needs.
We have already all the offers from the different manufacturers which are needed for such project but need help to finance it.
The project counts 2 ORs (5'000 surgeries per year), 1 OPD (7'000 patients per year) and 1 Inpatients section (100 beds). Every cent counts now to setup this project as it will takes place in a public hospital, which means, free of charge for all the people who live in Liby, this is the great benefit of this project and its humanitarian side, to help these people who suffer enough from the rest of there conflictual issues ( poorness, lack of hospitals, bombs, war etc.... we could enumerate lots of these)
As a simple example, nowadays, for a kidney tumor which can be treated locally, they must perform a complete nephrectomy which means an ablation of the kidney which is a disaster for the patient, in our well made hospitals abroad, we do that otherwise and this poor country needs our help.
The funds will go exclusively to reassess the ORs with modern equipment including laser unit, surgical microscope, fluorescence technique unit, tumor ablation and also an inoperative radiation therapy unit. Feel free to contact me for any details regarding the project it is my duty to answer to all your questions and hope that helping Libyans and their people have a better health system shall be one of our common points together.
Kind regards,
Kind regards,
