My husband and I have been trying to build a family together for years. We've had many friends offer to be a surrogate for us, but in the end something has always prevented that with various different illnesses either physically or mentally Where they no longer could help.
A few years ago we had a friend that had gotten pregnant and wanted us to adopt the baby. Everything was going great, healthy pregnancy, no issues, we found out it was a boy and got everything we needed from the nursery down to clothes. Well once he was born the mother decided to keep him.
Then just recently a family member had gotten pregnant and wanted us to adopt the baby because she couldn't afford another child. We were ecstatic. Again we got everything we needed, nursery all put together, found out it was a boy as well and we still had all the clothes so we just needed to finish with minor things.
Sadly, she developed pre eclampsia and he was stillborn a week before he was due.
With our ages, one of us being 33 and the other 41, we need to have a child soon if we want to raise it together. And since we've been having so many issues with trying their surrogacy and private adoption, we decided to try an agency for the adoption process.
We realize the price is daunting and we agree. We are doing everything we can on our side, from overtime hours, and second jobs, but we would still need help to be able to raise the rest if we want to spot before too much longer.
All donations would go to the process. From the agency to lawyers, home visits and flights, etc.
If anyone could donate anything it would be greatly appreciated. We know we would be wonderful fathers, but just need a little help in the process to get there.
