SUPPORT KINUSO HOTEL From Closing Its Doors

Hello everyone, my name is Scott Astle, and I need your help to keep my small town business going and avoid becoming homeless. I am the owner of the Kinuso Hotel located in Northern Alberta, Canada. The Alberta hospitality industry was severely impacted by severe COVID restrictions from 2020-2022 - I ask for your help to survive to have a future. I am on the brink of losing everything. I need your help; I can't do it alone. I approach this plea for your help with an obligation of transparency and responsibility to update on business recovery developments routinely. If you cannot afford to donate financially, PLEASE share my Gofundme campaign to make others aware, and increase exposure to potential donors. If you live regionally in Northern Alberta, please stop in and patronize the Kinuso Hotel in Kinuso, Alberta. Every dollar donated matters; every customer matters - I need your help. Every dollar donated goes to keeping my business doors open. Your donations will address immediate financial obligations like monthly bill payments and debt restructuring. Plus, creating diversified and expanded business services and a more extensive customer base from regional residents and seasonal tourists visiting our region. Your help is seriously needed. That can not be overstated. Otherwise, I will be a few short weeks away from having to close my business for good and file for bankruptcy. As someone that has been running this business since 1993, and as something I love to do, working with the public in hospitality - I would be devastated to close my business. At 54 years old, I would hate to face starting over with nothing; no home, no savings, no business. So I ask, ever so politely, please help me during this period of need. Help me save my business and my only means of making a living, where I live, what I have known as my home for the past 29+ years. Significant challenges to my small town hotel's operations and revenue started in March 2020 with COVID-19 and the extremely limiting COVID restrictions placed upon hospitality industry businesses across Alberta. It quickly left our regional service area with no tourists, no pedestrian traffic, and no way to earn a living or sustain revenue. Reduced my small business revenues by more than 90% for 17 out of 28 months. Since January 2020, and resulting COVID restrictions against my business, I have been working my business by myself, 16 hours a day, seven days a week, for, now, 31 months. A business that, pre-COVID, employed three full-time positions and three part-time positions. This two-plus-year marathon of open to close 16-hour days has taken its toll. Personally, I'm burnt out; I need to put staffing in place for day-to-day operations to allow my managerial skills to promote and expand business awareness and increase patronage. We are in a position to overcome our problems quickly and with great success if we can rally some support from our wonderful customers and others who believe in the importance of Alberta small town small business. Those who support the hard-working and never giving in as part of the entrepreneurial spirit of Alberta, and the importance of keeping community employment opportunities and diversity in community business services. The pandemic is far from over; it is NOT business as usual, as some adversaries seem to believe. In Alberta, the two years of COVID restrictions devastated the hospitality industry. Besides donations addressing immediate financial needs to keep the business doors open and utilities paid while developing a more COVID-restrictions resistant approach to hospitality services. I need your assistance to allow my business to keep its doors open. Helping me redefine how my small town business approaches service delivery and what community services it offers. THIS IS WHAT I AM ASKING TO HELP SAVE MY BUSINESS: Backpay/Pay monthly bills like utilities. Fill my shelves with stock/inventory to competitive levels. Refinance debt resulting from COVID restricted operations. Complete extensive cleaning and needed maintenance/updating of service areas. Expand business services with food & beverage delivery services After immediate concerns are addressed to allow staffed, full inventory day-to-day operations, I will add virtual golf bays and outdoor mini golf services to the hotel's property. These additional featured services incorporate a new customer base of North America's #1 recreational activity, golfing. Addressing costs of related equipment, software, setup, and the t-time management app. I need your help. I will be homeless in weeks without your help. I continue to work 16 hours a day at my business, fighting to keep the doors open. I don't want to lose my business, livelihood, or home - please help; every dollar donated matters, and every customer purchase matters. I love my community here if I reach my goal and the additional feature services to the business property. I will also launch a "giving back to the community" contribution of a free golfing/recreational program for at-risk youth and young adults. The community kick-back I can expand upon in my future updates as I get initial critical "door closing" threatening financial concerns addressed. I will be updating daily; please, donate generously, and check back for my regular updates. Respectfully in need of help, Scott Astle Kinuso Hotel
