My brother, Jhon Rey Sarabello has been diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease secondary to Chronic Glomerulonephritis since July 2021. Getting regular dialysis treatments, usually twice a week for four hours at a time, will help his kidneys do their job and keep him active, while a transplant would offer him more freedom and the ability to live a longer, healthier, more normal life.
His nephrologist recommended that a kidney transplant is the best option since both of his kidneys are damaged. At this point in his life, he is hoping to move towards transplant while he is still medically strong enough to undergo the transplant procedure but this cost a lot. I am ready to give one of my kidney but the costs for the said transplant operation and post-operative treatment are approximately Php 1,000,000.00 to 1,500,000.00 which the current financial status of my family cannot suffice.
