After holidaying in Zante we found there to be so many stray beautiful unloved cats there. Our dream would be to go round the island collecting these cats homing them and spading them also freeing them from horrible ticks and vaccinating them This is a cause very close to our hearts as my son suffers from ADHD and autism, Has a deep love of animals and can’t understand that’s there isn’t more help for these animals. He is currently volunteering as much of his time possible around school for the local RSPCA. Hopefully moving on to a apprenticeship in this field.
This would be a dream to all of us to help these beautiful felines famous to the Greek islands , our wishes that one day people from all over the world can come and visit these famous cats of the island without that feeling of guilt that they are not being cared for, I want people to give purely of there love of cats.
Our idea is to not remove the cats from the streets but to insure they are safe, feed and most importantly neutered. Also to build a premises suitable to re-house as many of the injured and vulnerable cats as we possibly. These are our Approx Set up cost:- The land required is 25,000
Construction of pens 5,000 For 40 cats
Spading, neutering, medical bills food approx 15,000
Running Costs for 1 year approx 5,000
These are only approximate costs to start the rescue center for the first year.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated the cats are a important feature of the Greek islands but unfortunately due to a lack of government funding the problem seems to be growing out of control. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
