Hello there, i am Ian. 30 years of age and a resident of Dapitan City. I associated myself with different Organizations here in the Country that the main Goal is to Reach those poorest places in the Mountains and provide Financial assistance, Food, Health Kits, School Supplies and Toys to those Children who cannot even afford a pair of slipper and walk bare foot 2-3 miles or more just to get to school. Most especially those Malnourished Children.
I worked in Japan for 5 years. My heart shatters everytime i see a homeless person. I remember, bringing them food (Sushi or Fried chicken) everytime i get off from work. Since i work in a sushi Restaurant, I secretly hide those sushi that haven’t sold throughout my shift. Instead of throwing them, i rather just give them to the Homeless. Everytime I walked home, i always stop by at the Park to look for Homeless people and give them food for Dinner. It was heart melting everytime i saw them smile and say thank you “Arigatou Guzaimasu”. Helping people has always been a huge place in my heart because I believe in Humanity. WE CAN FEED our Pets with decent animal Food, why can’t we do the same to those people who are struggling to survive and eat? I realized that i should continue this journey.
I got back last December of 2019 because my Visa has expired. Its almost Christmas when i see the street kids doing caroling, houses to houses. When they reached into my house, they asked me if they can do caroling for some coins. I said yes. After they sing, i gave them 100 pesos or 2.50$ I know it isn’t enough but its all i got in my pocket at that time. There are 4 kids, so i asked each of them, why are they doing that? What will they do to the money? they said, they’ve been saving it for the Food for Christmas eve dinner. They wanted to help their parents. I was touched with each and one of there story.
I realized that i was lucky enough to have food in my table, specially on Christmas eve.
January of 2020 i started to gather my friends and talk about my mission in Helping the street children and those other Children in the Poorest areas as well.
We approached some kind hearted people for Assistance, and luckily we gathered enough money to start Our mission. We went to the mountainous areas were there’s lack of Source for food, Government help, Medical and School. We did our best to give them assistance. We made sure the Children will get help. It was a Success.
Unfortunately the Pandemic hits the rest of the World and that includes my Country.
I was worried because we are in lockdowns. But i was more worried about those people in those areas. What are they going to do? I PRAYED EVERYDAY and NIGHT that hopefully this Pandemic subsides even for a bit so i can visit those places again and help.
We did it again! THANK GOD!
We revisited those areas again and other Areas as well to share the Blessings amidst Pandemic. I think they are the most vulnerable at this crisis were facing.
HELP US. Lets continue sharing the Love to mankind. Lets build a better community for these children and give them a Chance to dream. Lets Help them be healthy. Lets not cut the Future of this Generation.
