Siargao is known for being the "Surfing Capital in the Philippines" with a solid reputation among surfers in the Philippines and around the world. The lovely island of Siargao has been hit hard by the typhoon recently, just days before Christmas. If this tragedy wouldn't happen there still be lovely sunsets, calm waters, perfect waves to surf & swim, and lots of smiles and happiness coming from the people on the island. A few days before Christmas the whole country has been filled with the devastating news of Bagyong Odette's. We are happy to hear that our friends that we considered as family have survived, but the hardest part is surviving right now with the current situation that they are now facing aftermath. This island is our second home, and if you've ever been there probably you know the magic of the island and the kindness of the people who surround there. However, 95% of the island structures are now completely destroyed, families are displaced and now homeless and jobless, basics like clean water and food are scarce, no electricity & low in signal connectivity is now the common issue that they are now facing, houses, beautiful views and boats are now wrecked and the most sad part is people who are now starnded at the island are hunrgy and thirsty. It is heart-breaking. We are now so desperate and in need of everyone's help. Now we've been coordinating non-stop with friends who are nearby the island sending relief and bringing messages back and forth, we can extend help to more people and continue to help those who are badly affected. If you have anything to give, please donate to help save SIARGAO. No amount is too small. We are trying to gather all the help that we can get to aid everyone on the island as basic supplies and neccessities such as food, water, medicine, are running low. Siargao local families are in need of your help. Majority of the people won't be able to afford materials to rebuild thier homes as they no longer have resources and means to buy. 100% of the proceeds will be donated.
