My father, Efren Fuensalida, tested positive with COVID-19 virus with severe case of pneumonia. I myself has been affected as well. Several family members are quarantined too.
My mom called a lot of hospitals yesterday but with most hospitals reaching full capacity, we had no other option and was referred in a private hospital instead (costing 30,000 - 50,000 pesos or $700-$900 per day) We also had no option for home quarantine as the oxygen tank and refill is scarce and he badly needs it to breath. My father is admitted in Tarlac Medical Center and has fluctuating oxygen level of 58-62 average which is too low and too risky considering his age plus the continuous battle of the symptoms of Covid-19. He requires high-flow nasal oxygen. This will be a long journey back to health.
Normally, we would keep this on our own and try to manage the overwhelming financial needs. However, it has come to a point that we need to ask for support. This has been a very difficult time for our family, both emotionally and financially as recently (3weeks ago) we also lost our paternal grandmother due to COVID-19 virus.
We humbly ask for your assistance. This would cover for the increasing medical bills and expenses of the family. A little goes a long way and any amount is very much appreciated.
