We are reaching out to humbly ask for your financial support to help cover the hospital bills of our beloved Mama Eden. In 2020, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Though she was declared cancer-free for several months, routine check-ups revealed that her cancer has unfortunately spread to her lungs (lung metastasis). For almost five years, Mama Eden has bravely fought cancer, undergoing 41 cycles of chemotherapy, 28 days of radiation, and 4 sessions of brachytherapy.
As of now, she is currently admitted at ManilaMed (UN Ave), receiving medical care for shortness of breath due to fluid in her lungs (pleural effusion) and is on antibiotics to treat pneumonia. To help manage the fluid in her lungs, a pigtail catheter has been inserted to assist with her breathing, and she is also receiving high-flow oxygen. Mama Eden is not only a loving mother but also a caring grandmother, and she continues to fight with incredible strength. We are doing everything we can to ease her pain and improve her condition, and we cherish every moment we get to spend with her. We remain hopeful that she will overcome this challenging situation.
