Help My Father Walk Again: Support His Surgery and Recovery Age: 64 years old
Gender: Male Our Story: My father has dedicated over 35 years of his life as a mechanic, fixing cars and other vehicles in our community. He was always the go-to person when someone needed help with their vehicles, working tirelessly to support our family. However, in 2024, a tragic accident changed everything. While repairing a truck, the vehicle’s heavy head unexpectedly collapsed on him. The impact severely injured his spinal cord, and his legs were trapped. We rushed him to the hospital, where doctors initially told us he wouldn’t survive. Refusing to give up, we sought a second opinion, and thankfully, we found a hospital willing to operate. To save his life, we did everything we could—borrowing money from friends and relatives—to fund his emergency spinal surgery. The procedure cost ₱300,000, including the alternative spinal implant, medications, and hospital bills. Though the surgery saved his life, it left him unable to walk. He now requires ongoing therapy and medical care, but we have exhausted all our financial resources. With no stable income and mounting expenses, we are struggling to provide for his daily needs, medications, and therapy.
