Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers, We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our beloved Aunt, Alice Marquez Tubilla. For the past two years, Alice has been bravely battling myelofibrosis grade 3, a rare and life-threatening bone marrow disorder. Despite her unyielding spirit and determination, her condition has worsened. Her spleen and most of her organs have become severely enlarged, affecting even her heart. Recently, Alice has begun vomiting and passing blood, which has caused us even more heartbreak and fear. The cost of Alice’s treatment is overwhelming as she needs to undergo colonoscopy and endoscopy and she was also advised to do some radiation, and our family is struggling to provide her with the care she desperately needs. Her medications alone are incredibly expensive, and without them, her chances of recovery diminish. Alice has always been the cornerstone of our family, a beacon of love and joy. Her infectious laughter and unwavering kindness have touched the lives of everyone she meets. It breaks our hearts to see her in pain, unable to live the life she deserves.
