My name is Danushka Lankathilaka. I'm a Sri Lankan by nationality, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share my story. I worked as a crane operator in a private company at Colombo Harbour, Sri Lanka. It was a job I loved and depended on to support my family. But life took an unexpected and devastating turn when I suffered a severe stroke.
The stroke has left me paralyzed, and I am now unable to work. Losing my job has been heartbreaking—not just because I can no longer provide for my family, but because I have lost a sense of purpose. The medical bills for my treatments and rehabilitation are overwhelming, and without any income, I am struggling to cover even basic necessities like food and shelter.
I have always been a hardworking person, but now I find myself in a position where I cannot move forward without help. It is not easy to ask for support, but I humbly request your kindness and generosity during this difficult time. All the documents related to my illness can be produced for your kind information if necessary.
Your contribution will help me access the medical care I need and provide some financial relief to my family as we try to rebuild our lives. Every bit of help counts, and I am deeply grateful for anyone willing to stand by me in this challenging journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me.
