Lend a Hand for Pepito's Medical Bills

On October 19, 2024, my son fell and hit his head, which caused his aneurysm to rupture. We rushed him to the hospital, and when he regained consciousness, he screamed in pain from the intense headache. After conducting some tests, the doctor informed us that my son had an aneurysm that needed to be removed immediately, as it was a matter of life and death. However, we didn’t have enough money to cover the cost of the surgery. We had to beg the hospital to allow the surgery to proceed with only PHP 65,000 for the clip, which I managed to gather from a few relatives. But soon after, the hospital demanded an additional PHP 50,000 to proceed with the surgery immediately. I had already exhausted my funds, and my daughter was crying and pleading with the cashier to allow her brother to undergo the procedure. Thankfully, some family members came to our aid, and we were able to gather PHP 30,000 to proceed which the hospital accepted.

The aneurysm surgery was successful, but it caused complications which we saw after a few CT scans. My son developed hydrocephalus and suffered a stroke. After the most recent CT scan, it was discovered that the fluid in his brain is getting bigger… Requiring him to undergo another surgery. We found ourselves pleading with the hospital once again, as my son’s condition was critical. His nails turned purple which is an indication of losing oxygen… The nurses were ready to revive my son. Despite the odds, my son fought bravely. The hospital initially refused to perform the second surgery due to our mounting bill of more than PHP 1,200,000, but fortunately, the doctor was kind enough to proceed with the surgery without the billing staff’s approval. We only paid PHP 33,000 for the tube and then went ahead with the procedure, with no additional fees other than the cost of the tube they would use to drain the fluid. The second operation was successful, but we are still left with a hospital bill exceeding a million pesos, which we need to settle before my son can be transferred to a cheaper hospital…
We are in desperate need of help to cover the bills. I have already reached out to senators, our local government, as well as family and friends for support, but we still need more. Even a small contribution would make a huge difference for us.
