Let's lace up our shoes and hit the pavement for something that matters - EDUCATION. The Municipality of Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, Philippines will hold the annual Alay Lakad (Walk for a Cause) on November 8, 2024, Friday. The event will serve as a platform to bring us together as we take steps towards a better future with a shared vision of raising awareness and funds to support the scholarship program that benefits 120 current scholars of the municipal government. Four (4) LGU scholars have achieved remarkable achievements in their academic journey. A scholar from Brgy. Adela just finished his journalism degree as Magna Cum Laude at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. A scholar from Brgy. Rumbang finished his bachelor's degree in Community Nutrition as Magna Cum Laude at the University of the Philippines and now takes up Doctor of Medicine program. An IP scholar from Brgy. Manoot is a CSC passer of the professional examination and now works as a locally paid teacher in an IP school and a graduating scholar from Brgy. San Pedro has just passed the CSC professional examination. These milestones give us inspiration to continue our noble cause to raise more funds. Through the collective contributions of different stakeholders and the private sector, we aim to multiply the current number of scholars because we strongly believe that education is the most powerful key to unlocking the wealth of opportunities. As our strong partners with great concern for the youth sector, the undersigned humbly requests your generous support for our meaningful endeavor to make a difference. The funds raised during the 2024 Alay Lakad will go directly to allocating financial resources for the school requirements and other miscellaneous expenses, which will be given to the scholarship beneficiaries in the form of financial assistance. You may contribute to raising funds through cash donations, check issuance, e-wallet transfers, over-the-counter deposits, and pledges. Deposit slips may be presented to the treasurer's office for the issuance of an official receipt.
