A safe space for my mother and Husband

My mother, age 50, recently suffered a devastating stroke, leaving her paralyzed on her left side. My husband, battling heart failure, was told by doctors he is in the final stages of his journey. Due to having to take care of them both, I've had to quit my job and stay home. I try to give them as much independence as possible, and the thought of them feeling restricted or unsafe in their own home fills me with deep sorrow. Our current home, while filled with cherished memories, is not equipped to meet their growing needs. Narrow doorways, lack of safety rails, and a lack of essential accessibility features make it difficult for them to navigate independently and safely. With your compassionate support, I hope to transform our home into a haven of hope and healing. I envision a space where my mother and husband can feel comfortable, secure, and loved. Your contribution will help fund necessary renovations, including: 1) Widening doorways to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers 2) Adding a wheelchair-accessible bathroom with safety features 3) Fixing a furnace to heat the home; winter is coming, and wood heat isn't really an option anymore 4) Creating a comfortable, accessible living space that promotes independence and well-being 5) Catching up on piling bills Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal of creating a home that is truly a sanctuary for my loved ones. Your generosity will not only improve their quality of life but also provide them with the comfort and support they so desperately need during this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and understanding.
