Hello, My name is Leah, and I’m here to share a deeply personal story with you. Our family home has always been a place of love, but right now, it's struggling to protect us. We live in Divisoria, Zamboanga City, Philippines. Recently, a typhoon swept through, leaving our already fragile home even more damaged. The floors have become uneven, the walls are weak, and every time it rains, we place basins around the house to catch the water leaking from our ceiling. Our appliances have been soaked, and we’re constantly on edge, hoping the next storm doesn’t bring more damage. One wall in our home has been eaten away by termites, and we worry that one day it might not hold up. Our house is small, made of wood, and has weathered many storms over the years. But now it feels like it’s struggling to keep us safe, and it breaks my heart to see my family living in fear every time the weather turns bad. My mom sleeps in the living room, and my youngest sibling shares the only bedroom. I worked here in cebu to help my mom but I am also struggling. Whenever I come home, I usually sleep in the living area and my mom sleep in the kitchen area. It’s not much, but it’s home. And right now, it needs help. I can’t afford to fix it on my own, but I dream of giving my family a home where we don’t have to worry about the next storm or the next leak. A place where we can feel safe and comfortable again. This is why I’m reaching out. If you could find it in your heart to help, whether by donating or sharing our story, it would mean everything to us. We just want a secure roof over our heads, a place to call home without fear. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story, and for any support you can offer. We’re incredibly grateful for your kindness. With love and hope, Leah
