Hello everyone! My name is Mathia. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I also passed the recent board licensure examination for Psychometricians. However, I have this burning desire in me to take my level of education to the next step. I have decided to pursue a Doctor of Medicine program. This wasn't an easy decision. Against all odds, I quit accountancy and took up a degree in psychology because I want to help people struggling with their mental health and now that the pandemic is over, I realize that the problem that continues to disrupt the flow of society goes deeper than just mental health but also to other physiological issues. As an aspiring doctor, I'd like to contribute and look after the well-being of others because I find joy and satisfaction in seeing a family staying complete, in an individual gaining a second chance in life after healing from an illness, in the sparkle of a mother's eyes when she sees her newborn baby for the first time. I'd like to be a part of what keeps society together even from the background because I believe that the world needs more kindness now than ever.
