Deep in the rural mountains of Nueva ecija, is a small village in which I came across the most amazing family. The Pasigain family welcomed me in as one of their own and have showed me relentless kindness and generosity. Even though they have very little they find happiness in everyday.
They operate a small farm to help meet their needs, and also help support putting their grandchildren through school. Unfortunately due to the intense typhoon seasons and the harshness of exposure to the elements their home is in shambles. The horrid conditions tend to take more of extensive toll on the younger one.
The family started building a home as the pandemic began and that project has come to a halt, as a loss of revenue and jobs has plagued them till now.
I wanted to organize this campaign as a means to help them finish their home and give them a reprieve from the fear of uncertainty of being homeless.
