Hi everyone! My name is Lorna V. Napoles from the Philippines. I am writing to ask for financial assistance for my daughter's (Niña Jessica V. Napoles) surgery. My daughter was diagnosed with Arteriovenous Malformation in the brain (which happens when a group of blood vessels in the brain forms incorrectly and unusually tangled and forms direct connections, bypassing normal tissues) and it was ruptured last 2022. Due to financial problem, we were not able to proceed to the surgery. When she was admitted to the hospital, her condition was critical. She experienced frequent vomiting, severe headache, dizziness, and seizure. However, her condition as of now is still experiencing headaches from time to time.
The doctor said that she needs to undergo Gamma Knife Surgery (a noninvasive form of radiation to treat conditions, tumors, and lesions that affect the brain and upper spine). The Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City, Metro Manila is the only medical center with complete equipment for this surgery. The surgery cost 650,000 pesos including MRI and 4V-Brain Angiogram. This amount is too costly for us and I am asking for your financial assistance.
