- I am a CKD warrior and a dialysis patient.
- In CKD, our kidneys no longer functions well. For us who are already on the end stage, nagrerely nalang kami sa dialysis treatment which is usually 2-3x a week for four hours every session. Dialysis is a treatment to clean our blood as our kidneys failed to do so.
- It's not a cure, but it's the only way para gumaan ang pakiramdam namin.
- As time progresses, tumataas din ang risks of complications. Since sinisiksik yung normal function ng kidney for only four hours, our heart will be running marathons the whole duration of treatment.
- Imagine the physical strain just to feel normal as we unplug ourselves from those machines. Plus the emotional and mental challenges that slowly slipping within us.
- Some of us, we maintain the facade of bravery as our attempt to fit in. But remember, beyond those smiles and "okay lang ako" gestures, they are facing their own battles to live, they are waiting to be understood and comforted.
- There are times na pinagtitinginan yung mga visible IJs and catheters namin, tinititigan yung bulge ng fistulas and we felt being judged, but this is our battle scars. This is what keeps us alive.
- For those who stayed, reach out and prayed with your family, friends and acquaintances who are also struggling with the same condition. Hindi niyo lang alam kung gaano kami ka-thankful sa inyo. Your words and presence on our toughest times means so so much to us. Despite these struggles you are our God's blessings. Sana hindi kayo magsawa sa amin and keep being our strength no matter how much sometimes we try to push you away.
- Once again thank you so much ??????
