To empower the handcraft and design sector in RwandaUzabaho Grace Mission(UGM),a local NGO in Rwanda in Africa seeks to generation socio-economic empowerment and capacity building among 1994 Genocide survivors women entrepreneurs,especially in handcraft and design sector in Rwanda.The NGO has identified a group of women who arleady pocess skills in handcraft and painting design such as the weaving tradition baskets knows as AGASEKE in Kinyarwanda.The program seeks improving skills of the women through weaving and painting traing courses, aimed encouraging the production of high quality goods more creative and innovative design inputs and new popular products.The product will organize them into productive team and provide training in entrepreneurship,to foster business mindset and good management practices.This is a final stage of connecting these women to the market,and provide outlets and opportunities for them to sell their products,thus proving a sustainable and constante source of income for them and their families.The second group of women will begin their 3-month intensive training program in coming months.
