Hello. Im Mae Mae from the Philippines, 26. I'm currently on medication and follow up check-ups with the Philippine Heart Center (PHC). I'm an out patient. I have a Rheumatic Heart Disease that was diagnosed July last year.
I'm already in line for a charity case in PHC for an open heart surgery to change my mitral valve however, given that there are thousands of people all around the country waiting to have their surgeries as well, mine might be donw in 3 to 4 years. Which the doctor said that the longer I dont have my surgery done, the more damaged my heart is gonna get.
To be honest, I am scared for my life. I'm just always grateful that I can open my eyes and not be feeling sick or unalived. I'm still young yet this happened to me. I'm trying to be strong and enjoy life but when the day ends, when the lights are off for bed, and I'm alone with my thoughts, all the negativities are flooding into my mind and I am very scared and anxious for the great unknown.
I know I'm a stranger to you but a little help is what I need and I'll greatly appreciate it. I wish you could help me to achieve on getting my surgery ASAP.
