Barangay Dapdap is located in the southeast part of the Municipality of Pilar Sorsogon. Among it's 49 barangays Dapdap is part of the 13 coastal areas.
Access to clean and safe water system is part of the Sustainable Development . The SDG Goal 6 states that Ensure access to water and sanitation for all. Hence, access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene is the most basic human need for health and well-being.
During the month of January to June, the baranggay suffers to major difficulties in accessing water. There is no available clean and safe water where the community of over 1,484 people can drink safely. With 393 households dependent only in the water system accesses through the availability of Dugwells.
We are raising this donation drive because the month of drought has already started in the community. The dugwells are already dried up, most households has to buy water from other neighbouring barangays that is atleast 30km- 45km far. With also the limited access to roads, transporting the purchased water is difficult. The funds of this donation will go to the building of drilling water systems in every puroks(small districts of the community).
