My mom needs help. For almost nine years, mom's illness has gotten more severe. She is Mary Grace Cundangan, was only 45 years old when she got the disease. As long as year passed, it became more worst. Before, she could still stand without any support. But right now, she will fall when no one supports her to walk. Every day is a battle for us, especially for my mom fighting for her Parkinson's disease, wherein her body shakes uncontrollably. Her neurologist said her illness is genetically inherited, but as we investigate in her clan, no one has it and the disease only started first to her. Only her maintenance helps her to live long and it really pains her. Her medicine costs for about PHP4,000 a month because her medicine in take is 3 times a day and we cannot really afford it to buy most of the time because the only source of our living was through her pension in SSS. My father cannot work anymore for he has lung problems and we cannot also provide for his medical treatment. I am also a third year college student, a scholar on a University. Finding my ways to finish my study on my own because of how my household looks like and my motivation to study harder are my parents and especially, my mother. I wanted to repay everything she provided me. As her child, I wanted to help her so badly to ease her pain. If only I could take the pain, I would be the one to suffer.
