We are siblings of MAURO FUENTEBELLA GONZALEZ and we reach out to family and friends to help support our cause for Mauro. Though we, on our end, try our best to pull resources together, we can only do so little, with the average income we have. Dense as it may seem, we take courage not only to God to have mercy and healing for Mau (we believe in this), but also to you, whom we may or may not know, for support in giving Mau a new leash in life.
For those who know him, 40-year-old Mau, is one jolly person. Comic to everyone, brings life to a party and is a single Dad who tries his best to raise his 7-year-old boy, Carlos. The two are a “You and Me Against the World” pair. So funny and vibrant together, sometimes annoying because they have their own language and worlds, yet oftentimes, one would just be proud that someday, these two will someday be great together. We all look forward to that time.
However, alas, Mauro was diagnosed to be “end of stage CKD 5” last March 2023 and since then on, has been doing dialysis 3x a week, hospitalized several times in the past year, and being maintained by very high maintenance medicines. At the same time, he also had heart failure last March 2023, which was functioning at only 27% and is also diabetic. At this writing, Mauro is again admitted in hospital since January 1, 2024, this time for severe neuropathy coupled with excruciating body pains.
From the time Mauro was diagnosed a CKD5 and heart failure, he never complained of his illness nor asked God, “Why?” Very God-fearing, Mau lifts his fate to God. Though he’s not been capable of giving his all-out effort in his real estate leasing business, he still manages to close a few deals and adds to our common fund. Mau gets tired so easily, yet he maintains his positive view in life, never showed signs of discouragement and is only very thankful to us, his family, for the support he receives from us.
With all the laboratory and diagnostic work-ups done and to be done here in the hospital, we decided to check out the GoFundMe Cause and seek for assistance and support rather than run around like a headless chicken not knowing where to get funds from or from borrowing money we do not know how to pay back. Not only that, he is in urgent need of a kidney transplant and with all means, we seek out a donor to help save Mau’s life. We, his family, from our Mom to our youngest (we are 6 siblings), are all comorbidities. We’ve wished from day one to give our spare but, alas, we are not allowed to do so.
Hence, we seek help and support for our brother, Mauro, for his hospital and kidney transplant campaign. We ask in all humility, because we love our brother so much, for you, the reader, to take part with us in this life changing episode in Mauro and our lives.
