I’m reaching out to you on behalf of my sister, Gina Rivera Santos, a 47-year-old mother of two who is fighting for her life against stage 4 breast cancer. She is currently residing in Manila, Philippines. She was diagnosed in October 2022, and since then, she has undergone, surgery, radiation, and hormonal treatment. However, none of these treatments have been effective in stopping the cancer from spreading to her lungs and bones, which is the reason for her to be subjected again to another surgery called VATS (Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery) just recently November 2023. The doctors are now recommending chemotherapy and a new drug that could potentially extend her life and hopefully stop the spread of cancer. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy, the drug, and the succeeding treatments are very expensive. That's why I am putting up this fundraising to collect $55,000 (3M PHP) to cover the cost of her urgent medical care and support her family during this difficult time.
We love our sister Gina very much for she has been a provider, supportive, kind, and caring to all of us ever since. She is also a loving wife and a devoted mother. She deserves a chance to live longer and continue to see her children grow up. Any amount, no matter how small, can truly make a difference and will be deeply valued.
