My name is Melvin Miciano, and I am from the Philippines. I just want to ask for some cash assistance for the ongoing treatment of my son, Stephen Karl S. Miciano. He is now in the ICU of the service ward of UERM Hospital; he was diagnosed with autoimmune encephalitis. Because of his condition, he will need to undergo plasma pheresis treatment. As per the doctor, he will need 5 to 10 cycles of plasma pheresis, which will cost around 50,000 pesos per plasma pheresis treatment. They will do this every other day. As of this writing, we are only done with the second session of plasma pheresis. This also excludes the cost of some needed supplies for the machine for the procedures.
