This campaign is for my father who's suffering stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). He undergoes hemodialysis 3 times a week since October 2022 and has handful of prescribed medications. His heart is also now having problems as complication.
He was brought to the ICU for a week last month, went home with hopes to get better. But unfortunately, his BP fell and had high fever while on hemodialysis 5 days ago. He was brought to the Emergency Room in Bataan and had cardiac arrest twice and was revived twice. Sepsis. His blood is contaminated from previous catheterizations. He's currently in the ICU since August 28, 2023 and has no clear estimate when will be discharged since plenty of special doctors have to give him clearance.
He is a father who worked at Saudi for 20 years to provide for our family here in the Philippines. And it's really heartbreaking to see him not being able to enjoy the fruit of his sacrifice now that he is on his retirement. Can't even play with his grandkids due to his condition. And it hurts watching mom who have grown old waiting for him to finally stay at home now just peeping from the ICU door just to see him while he sleeps in pain
All savings were exhausted, government benefits were maxed out, debts are piling, and friends and relatives have already extended their help.
We would like to have at least few more years with him. Just so he could play his guitar few more times for his newborn grandkids, tell us about his adventures abroad, and take some photos without those tubes currently attached to him.
