We find ourselves at a crucial crossroads in our lives, faced with uncertainty and fear. Our 75-year-old father is currently fighting a battle against cancer. We, his children, are reaching out to you today with an appeal for support in ensuring that his journey is as comfortable and dignified as possible.
Our Father's Story
Our father is the remaining parent that we have and is also the father figure to his one and only 14-year-old grandson. He has survived three strokes and was recently diagnosed with cancer of the lymphoma. There is the presence of aggressive and prominent small tumors in his lateral neck.
As his children, it pains us to witness his suffering and we are committed to making his journey comfortable and compassionate. We know that he is not ready for chemotherapy and it leaves us with an option of comfort care instead. We aim to provide relief from the symptoms and pains of cancer, with the goal of improving his quality of life.
Why We Need Support
While we have been doing the best to care for our father, the financial costs of his medical treatments, hospitalizations and comfort care is becoming overwhelming. Medical bills, medications, home health care and necessary adjustments to make his living space more accommodating have taken a toll in our family's finances.
We want to make the remaining time that we have with him to be filled with love and care.
