Manggaan is a passion project and restaurant that utilizes mangoes as primary ingredients as sweetening or souring agent. Manggaan was conceptualized around 2017 and became a reality at the start of February 2021 when the pandemic was still lingering. Our restaurant lasted about a 14 months before we decided to close down in 2023. Our team was composed of just 5 staffs working multiple tasks. Ms. Daphne Fernandez, our accounting officer who pays our business taxes and does the marketing died on January 2022 and was a huge lost for our team. We held up by little hope due to high rent, high water bills, electric bills, and other expenses.
Manggaan was helpful towards local mango growers as we buy our ingredients from them and as our business promotes as well the local culture and history of the city through our food and as well as the mural that we once had. The City of San Carlos was once known as
