My name is Kaye. I’m the eldest in our family of 3 (with my two brothers and my son) – my mom being a single mother. This is the reason I decided to write our story. We could not ask for a better mother. Despite the challenges our family has faced – my mother has been our Rock.
She’s always found ways to keep us in school, takes the time to take care of us and at the same time balances an 8-to-5 job. The biggest proof I have of my mother’s constant love is when she supported my decision to have a son without placing any judgment at all.
And now, early in April, we were told of a devastating news that she has Stage 3 breast cancer. My immediate thought was how to help her. I am too young to be able to contribute financially, but I can still do something about my mother’s condition.
Through this crowdfunding app, I am appealing to your generous hearts to help raise funds for her medical and hospital bills. Even before getting chemotherapy, she has already spent Php100,000 for laboratory test, citiscans, and biopsy procedures. We’re grateful for her HMO, but it is not enough to cover for all hospital and medical bills.
She has to undergo chemotherapy six times and each time costs P75,000 – that’s not even including hospital bills, other medications, and doctor’s fees. Add in another P30,000, that means we need Php100,000 for every treatment. I have heard her consult with doctors and friends asking where she can get funding from local government agencies and similar programs such as PCSO, DSWD for patients who need financial assistance.
I hope to raise around US$10,000 (or Php500,000) to defray her medical bills. If you can spare a bit of time to tell your friends about our situation by sharing this link, our family will be most grateful.

Most of all, we value your prayers. Please pray for her fast recovery and for strength in her mind and body as the chemotherapy is taking a toll on her physical well being.

September 8 holds a very special place in our hearts. Happy birthday, Mama Mary! You who hold us close like only a Mother can. My 5th treatment coincided with her birthday. Non-stop prayers of gratitude and hope … I thank you, Mama Mary, for the intercession.
Friends continue to pour in financial aid. For August and early September, we paid for:
Medicine and Doctor’s Fees – P66,339.80
Laboratory Tests and Hospital Fees – P11,108.20
Others became my comfort and rock as they held me up and stayed with me throughout this ordeal. Whether it’s time spent over our favorite drinks or a simple text or chat message “hello, how are you feeling today?” – I want to say “thank you” for having me in your thoughts.
You’ve all been a solid, kind presence and your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
