Hi everyone! My name is Armie Barbara Demorar, I am teaching children with special needs in a public school here in the Philippines. I was born with Congenital Heart Disease. As a special education teacher, I am very excited everyday to teach and share my knowledge to my students. I am grateful for my co-workers who understand my situation and also for my students who inspire me to get better. However, it was challenging to be working as a special education teacher, with all the paper works, handling student behaviors, and stress that we are facing every day, it was never easy, and because of all those factors, I was diagnosed with HYPOKALEMIA or a lower than normal potassium level in my bloodstream, which got worse because of my pre-existing CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE. Not to mention the pressure I am feeling that I need to work hard and make sure to provide what my family needs. As an individual, I also have personal expenses that need to be met, such as my monthly apartment rentals, utilities, and food allowance. Due to my hypokalemic attack that happened weeks ago, my muscles are weak, and I cannot walk, my left foot is paralyzed right now. Aside from that, I am also diagnosed with an abscess on my left brain, and I need to undergo an MRI to address the proper medication. I have been frequently visiting the hospital and as a result, I have depleted all of my savings. I have been out of work for one month and have used all my sick and vacation time. I respectfully ask for your financial assistance. The bills associated with the ER, ICU, Cardiologist, Neurologist, and medications have become overwhelming. My family and I are really struggling right now, I'm pinning my hopes on your kind heart to please assist me in my current situation. I know that I have a long road ahead of me as I fight to overcome this. I keep my spirit up as I continue to fight for my dreams and my family.
