Joy Ann's Kidney Transplant

Hi! My name is Joy Ann, 33 years old. I'm currently undergoing hemodialysis thrice a week.

I was 28 years old and 3 months pregnant when I was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease and after a day I was scheduled for my 1st dialysis treatment. I had a miscarriage in my 5.5 months of pregnancy while doing a dialysis treatment. My baby can't take it any longer. She knows I'm in pain and fighting for our life. But my baby sacrificed for me so I can live longer.

We sell our house so I can sustain my medical needs and also to pay for my hospital bills. My husband had to work abroad as a construction worker to help me with my fees, medicines, hemodialysis treatment and so on.

It's almost been 5 years since I started dialysis treatment and recently I received great news from my doctor that we can proceed with the transplant on June 1st week. My kidney donor is my sister-in-law Dainne. She's been so good to me and the first person who offered her bean.
