A little help for my father :(

Good day. I am SHEENA S. ARCEGA, 28 years old, residing in Purok 1, Arquiza Drive, Brgy. Mampang, Zamboanga City. My father, LEONILO CESAR ARCEGA, 66 years old, was diagnosed last April 12, 2023, with Severe 3-Vessel CAD with Occlusion of the LAD. As per doctor’s recommendation, my father needs to undergo Revascularization via CABG (Coronary Arteries Bypass Graft) as soon as possible along with optimal medical therapy. We do not have CABG Procedure here in Zamboanga City and we are hoping to bring him in Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City, Manila to have his surgery there.

According to the doctor, a procedure like this would cost approximately around ₱1,000,000 or 20K USD. We do not have that much. I am currently studying MS Sanitary Engineering and I resigned from my job as a college instructor way back 2021 to focus on my Masters. I never thought something this big would happen to our family. Our family’s savings was already spent when my father was brought to Ciudad Medical de Zamboanga last February 2023 when he had his heart attack and when we decided to do his angiogram procedure in Zamboanga Peninsula Medical Center last April 2023. All our money went to his hospital bill. Today, as I write this campaign, my father is presently admitted again in Ciudad Medical, the doctor said that we really need to rush the surgery. But again, we do not have enough funds on our own. And now, even though my sisters have online job, we cannot raise even a portion of that money, because my father’s medicine is around ₱10,000-15,000 per month and we also have a lot of bills including house, electricity, water, food, and we are even trying to settle our loans because we borrowed some money to pay for my father’s hospital bills.

I have five (5) siblings. I am the 5th child in the family. Our eldest is a part-time tutor together with the 4th child. The 2nd and 3rd already have their own families and our youngest is still finishing his thesis. My father is a retired plumber, and my mother is a housewife. Three of us are helping provide our family’s everyday needs including my father and mother’s medicine. My mother was also diagnosed with an enlarged heart, thus also taking some medicines. We really do not know what to do and the only thing that came into our mind is to seek help from generous people like you.

I am really hoping that you will help us. We do not want to lose our father but at the same time we are not capable of bringing him in Philippine Heart Center considering our family’s situation and financial capabilities. We hope that you will be one of his angels sent by God for us to push through with his surgery. We are hoping for any medical/financial assistance coming from you because we do not want to lose our father.
